A fine 19th century miniature travelling timepiece by Barraud & Lunds, numbered 6164. The rosewood five glass case standing on adjustable brass bun feet and surmounted by a brass carrying handle, with oroginal leather case.
The elongated gilt silvered dial has an engine turned surround to the plain gilt roman chapter ring with fine scroll engraving to the centre. The single fusée timepiece movement has a platform lever escapement with plain balance wheel and lever escapement.
Barraud and Lunds are recognized as one of the finest makers of precision clocks in the nineteenth century.
