A very rare Empire gilt bronze and marble astronomical skeleton table regulator, signed on the white enamel dial, Basserau à Paris, with an exceptionally beautiful blue enamelled subsidiary moon phase dial above the main dial, attributed to the eminent enameller, Dubuisson. With two separate chapter rings, one on the left to depict the days of the month and one on the fight to show days of the week, with blued steel hands for the hours, minutes and sweep centre seconds. With two gilt bronze columns supporting the fine brass movement with knife edge suspension for the well executed nine-rod gridiron pendulum with original brass bob, with fine adjustment, beat regulation to the pendulum, pinwheel escapement, and striking on the hour on a single bell with outside count wheel
